Art therapist, award-winning Métis artist Chris Larsen is dedicated to the transformative, healing power of art. From work as a psychiatric nurse, to decades of teaching art in schools, she gives caring and professional support to clients’ inherent capacity to enhance their mental and emotional wellbeing. Chris has experience of providing art therapy to school children both in person and online with Zoom. She is the new intake counsellor for online counselling with the Wheat Institute (Winnipeg Holistic Expressive Art Therapy) and provides Grandmother services to the Indigenous art therapy program with WHEAT. Grandmother services are support services both for the classroom teacher and the art therapy students.
